Making smiles in Melbourne wider and brighter since 1980.

Welcome to Wheelers Hill Dental, conveniently located opposite Wheelers Hill Shopping Centre. Here, our professionals know that dental health is not just about bright smiles - it’s about having strong teeth and healthy gums. It’s about prolonging the simple joy of eating delicious things! Our mission is to help our patients accomplish these goals in a painless, compassionate, and efficient way.

We aim to educate our patients in a safe environment while providing necessary comprehensive care. We understand that many people have anxiety about dental treatment, so we created a soothing environment and a scheduling system that never keeps you waiting for long. By combining the latest technology with traditional techniques, we give our patients the best care in the municipality.

Dr Teong Saw OAM

Hailing from Malaysia, our principal Dentist, Dr Teong Saw OAM brings a bit of unabashed South-East Asian hospitality to all his patients. He moved to New Zealand over forty years ago as an international student at the prestigious Otago University. Before opening Wheelers Hill Dental in 1980, he worked for Kuala Lumpur Hospital in Malaysia and subsequently one of the finest practices in London, England.

When not striving to keep his patients happy and healthy, he enjoys golfing with his friends and skiing.

He is also a philanthropist and has been president/board member/trustee of many nonprofit and not-for-profit organisations, including The Royal Children’s Hospital Centre for Adolescent Health, The Chinese Association of Victoria School Building Fund, and The Australian Chinese Events Committee. Very Special Kids, The Royal Flying Doctor Service, The Fred Hollows Foundation and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute are also some of the beneficiaries of his philanthropic activities.

Consequently, Dr Teong Saw OAM was awarded The Order of Australia in 1999 for his significant contributions to our community.
